Mary Hunter is the Chief People Officer for Columbus and leads the global strategy for culture and people. An experienced industry leader Hunter has led one of Microsoft’s most successful UK channel partner businesses for 18 years. She has a deep passion for motivating and inspiring people to realise their full potential, both in the workplace and actively supporting the next generation too. Diversity and inclusion is an important element to creating the innovate continual learning culture needed in a global technology business like Columbus; therefore building confidence and personal leadership capabilities in underrepresented areas of the workforce is a critical focus area in her role to enable a successful diverse workforce of the future.
Hunter has been recognised by several organisations for her work winning the International Association of Microsoft Channel partners Global Leadership of the year award in 2018, finalist for Computing in IT’s Digital Leader of the year 2018, winner of UK Regional Businesswoman of the year 2018, finalist for CRN’s Woman of the year 2019 and most recently finalist for Women in IT’s Woman of the year 2020.
Mary is on numerous boards including an Advisory member to the Business School at Nottingham Trent University. A member on the Women in Technology and Women of The Channel boards and the Culture Chair for IAMCP UK Board.
