Angelique is a software engineer, specialising in publishing and content management systems for newsrooms. She’s worked at the heart of leading news publishers for over 10 years. Previously Angelique was an art director for several years with the Australian Financial Review in Sydney, then 7 years ago, decided to move to London to take up a role as a software engineer with the Financial Times.
She was completely new to the tech industry and was surprised at the lack of women in the department. Angelique became passionate about diversity and encouraging more women into STEM areas. She founded FT Women UK at the Financial Times in June 2017 and am currently co-chair, and prior to this founded and co-chaired Women in Learning and Leadership UK at Pearson in November 2014.
